I have chosen to portray Medusa as a tragic Greek mask.
It was not Medusa's appearance that turned men to stone, it was her glare. Her story is indeed a tragedy, and few people are aware that Pegasus, the winged horse of Inspiration, was born of her blood. This piece is understated with only the cobras crawling out of the eyes of the mask and becoming eyebrows to indicate Medusa.
This is a wall piece.
